Futureco Bioscience has presented for the fifth consecutive year its Communication On Progress on Corporate Social Responsibility, as signatories and partners of the United Nations Global Compact, and of the Spanish Global Compact Network. With this report, it renews its commitment assumed since 2014, updated and expanded year after year with new actions promoting the 10 principles on Human Rights, Labor Rights, Environment and Anticorruption.
In addition, for two years, Futureco Bioscience has linked the principles of the Global Compact to the Sustainable Development Goals, being especially active and consistent with those goals related to carefulness for environment, such as: Responsible Production and Consumption (SDG 12); Action for Climate (SDG 13); Diversity in Terrestrial media (SDG 14) and Protection of the Oceans (15).
This year the company adds two measures of great importance to the Environment Area. On the one hand, adherence to the Carbon Footprint Registration Program, published on the platform of the Spanish Global Compact Network as a good practice example during the 2019 environmental week, and on the other hand, and possibly the most significant step, a change of packaging that will reduce to a large extent the plastic waste, as well as the volumetric efficiency of the transport of the packaging during its arrival to the facilities before the filling with product.
Futureco Bioscience continues to collaborate with associations, organizations, institutes and schools for the promotion of scientific vocations and education and in solidarity projects, as well as sensitizing all its stakeholders (clients, employees, suppliers, administration and civil society) in the tools, policies, indicators and actions included in its Progress Report.
