{"id":243731,"date":"2019-07-26T14:03:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T13:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.futurecobioscience.com\/2019\/07\/26\/descubierta-la-actividad-de-biocontrol-de-enfermedades-de-plantas-de-la-cepa-p-putida-b2017\/"},"modified":"2022-03-11T12:54:58","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T11:54:58","slug":"discovered-biocontrol-activity-against-plant-diseases-of-the-bacterial-strain-p-putida-b2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.futurecobioscience.com\/en\/discovered-biocontrol-activity-against-plant-diseases-of-the-bacterial-strain-p-putida-b2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovered biocontrol activity against plant diseases of the bacterial strain\u00a0P. putida\u00a0B2017"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Researchers from the R&amp;D Department of Futureco Bioscience have published in the scientific journal Biocontrol Science and Technology the article\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/eprint\/TZENJGMYIII8363IZANK\/full?target=10.1080\/09583157.2019.1645304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Pseudomonas putida<\/em>\u00a0strain B2017 produced as technical grade active ingredient controls fungal and bacterial crop diseases<\/a>, which abstract can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futurecobioscience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Pseudomonas-B2017-does-not-produce-antibiotic-and-toxic-metabolites-874.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The article describes the production of strain B2017 of&nbsp;<em>Pseudomonas putida<\/em>&nbsp;in bioreactors of 2-14-125L scalable and reproducible at industrial level as well as the evaluation of efficacy of this strain as Active Ingredient Technical Grade (IAGT) against different phytopathogens (<em>Fusarium oxysporum f .sp radicis lycopersici<\/em>&nbsp;in tomato,&nbsp;<em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Pectobacterium atrosepticum<\/em>&nbsp;in potato, and&nbsp;<em>Sclerotinia sclerotiorum<\/em>&nbsp;in lettuce) at commercially reasonable doses when applied to both foliar spray and soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>P. putida<\/em>&nbsp;bacteria is a species whose biostimulant and biocontrol activity has been referenced in the scientific literature in recent years. However, there are no biocontrol products on the market based on this species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obtaining a high concentration of that microorganism isolated from the field, as a commercial product, requires to consider its production method at the industrial level, among many other aspects.&nbsp;The most commonly used is liquid&nbsp;fermentation in bioreactors.&nbsp;It is necessary to investigate optimal culture media and growth parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, agitation &#8230;) to obtain the best yield of microorganism, while preserving its activity when formulated and applied to the field.
