Tuesday, September 25, was the anniversary of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To celebrate this important global event, the Spanish Network of the UN Global Compact organized a campaign to collect good practices among its partner organizations, of which 77 participated. 43% of shared good practices were related to large companies, a 32% to SMEs, 8% to entities of the Third Sector and the remaining 4% to educational entities.
Among the good practices presented and collected in this Special Dossier on SDGs (in Spanish), the Traceability, Transparency and ISO 14001: 2015 System of Futureco Bioscience was included, which apart from being explained in this link of the Spanish Global Compact Network, is explained in this video:
The traceability system promotes, above all, SDG 12, on responsible production and consumption, and is associated with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact: 7, in which companies must maintain a preventive approach that favors the environment; 8, in which they should promote initiatives that promote greater environmental responsibility and 9, in which companies favor the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Among the topics presented, the most outstanding were mainly focused on health, environment and responsible consumption, represented by SDG 3 with 14% of good practices presented, SDG 13 (13%) and SDG 12 (10%), respectively.
