Last 5th of April, Dr. Iker Hernández, Head of the Molecular Biology Unit of the R&D Department of Futureco Bioscience, participated in a Technical Workshop at the Wine Business School in Vilafranca del Penedès, with the presentation “Development of bio-pesticide products for biocontrol of diseases on vineyards”.
This year, the XXX edition of the Congress of Oenologists concurred with the XXXVI edition of the International Cava Congress. Both congresses were held simultaneously, with the ambition of creating a reference conference in the current vitiviniculture in Catalonia.
The event focused on issues such as efficiency and sustainability, emphasizing on innovative aspects such as the replacement of sulphur dioxide with encapsulated essential oils, the stimulation of the vine with inactive yeasts, or the use of biocontrol products as those developed by the R&D Department of Futureco Bioscience.
